Members of the Chronic Viral Illness Service (CVIS) are also involved in providing educational opportunities to trainees in health professional programs and to practicing healthcare professionals as part of ongoing professional development. They also provide for the educational needs of patients, families, and the community. And they act as a resource for the most current information regarding particularly HIV and HCV disease, new treatment modalities in the contexts of direct consultation with staff, public forums, multidisciplinary conferences, educational Grand Rounds, clinical traineeships.
